Re: SS composition. What if?
The outer ring of the $20 silver strikes were .999 silver and were .75 Troy oz.
That would increase the silver content to about $15.00 at $20 per troy oz.
The $40 small strike (about the same size as a $10 strike) is 1.26 Troy oz and would be less than the face value in silver content till silver gets up to $30 per Troy oz.
The one pounder strikes have 12 Troy oz and have $240 at todays prices and with the die charge, striking charge, boxing, and shipping have to be costing the casinos over $250 each.
I would hate to see the silver removed from the strikes and make them a glorified token with plating.
I for one would play for the $40 strikes on a $1.00 machine and if silver continues to climb the silver in a $40 strike could be ramped down to the same as a older $20 strike and even to a strike similar to todays $10 strike which would keep the strikes machines viable till silver got to $60 per oz.
I don't know what the casinos could do to the one pounder strikes but to raise the face value.
