Wes, the problem is, greed brings the worst out in people. This is not something that is called an investment to make money, this is a hobby, although some of the past members who have sold their collections may differ with me! If you and others were interested in making money, then you should have bought Gold and Silver Bullion back in 1999-2000 like I did when Gold was $255.00 an ounce and Silver was approx. $4.50 an ounce. The thing that bothers me is that there is a lot of greed in this hobby and you are right about the people who sat at the strike machines and win 20-25 of the same strike for resale or the people who want to buy what is left at the main cage knowing that the casino is ending their silver strike program. They are called profit seekers and they don't care about anyone else but themselves and not the fellow collectors or this hobby. If you remember, you could have gone to the Nevada Landing and purchased strikes there from other casino's at face because they would purchase anyones strikes and sell them to their clientele for face as a service to their customers, and I could say that I only ever purchased what I needed in my own collection, but I know there were members of this club who went and purchased approx. $4,000-$5,000 worth of strikes at one time in order to sell them at a profit on Ebay or personally to others members, again here is the word GREED!
