The first technique in dispute resolution is to act in a calm and civilized manner. We have been wronged by Flamingo/O'Shea's in the cancellation of the strike tournament. Many have suffered more than disappointment with lost vacation time, non-refundable airline tickets and now unneeded partners attending to get around the no two per household or to simply increase the odds.
But keep in mind that, despite its size, Las Vegas is a typical small village. How we act towards Flamingo/O'Shea's and Park Place Entertainment will define us in the eyes of that small village. We want friends in that community. We don't want casinos saying that we are too much trouble and too disruptive. That's an invitation to end our hobby. Do you think IGT-Anchor isn't monitoring this situation? Will they continue a program that causes trouble for their customer, the casino, which has mant more of their games than strike machines?
So please act responsibly. Let's have no storming of the front desk or a tidal wave of abusive emails. We have grievances. Present them in a civilized amnner.
Another word. There has been a lot of ridiculous and groundless speculation on the board about the reason for cancellation. That activity is simply non-productive and leads to nothing positive. Unless you KNOW something, please don't continue to fuel the fire.
Thanks for reading.
