Since they have issued the tournament announcement, taken our money, and given us confirmation numbers a contract has been negotiated that they have broken. The legal question is, "are they only required to refund our money, and how soon." That is the legal issue here. A contract has been broken. When an airline cancels your flight, you hope to get on another one or get your money back, and maybe a $100 credit, but it is basically the same thing. There probably is very little recourse here for us, unless we were fully united. That does not seem likely. Perhaps we just need to move on and concentrate on having a great time at the Convention...Peter
