I just looked at the map of Las Veges Streets. Depending what a person calls a block It IS 2 LOOOONG blocks from the strip to the Hard Rock. According to the map there is only 1 small local type street. An NO major streets between the strip & the Hard Rock.

So I guess the Hard Rock advertising is correct in a way. Looks like they donot count the small local street as a seperate block(s).

Anyway I knew a LOOONG time ago it was too far to walk from the strip, especially in the summer. Catch the city bus from the strip down Harmon -- or down Paradise if near the Stratosphere to the Hard Rock. If you have no other way to get there. The bus will drop you off at the Hard Rock. It's well worth the $1.25 each way fare(if you have a $5.00 all day pass no extra fare) especially in the summer time.
