Yes, Myself and the wife were in vegas last august when it was 115 degrees. We had never been to the hard rock and were going for the Korn concert. Since the directions stated 2 blocks, we figured it was an easy walk. The road going there had no stores, and we didn't have drinks for the walk because we didn't expect it to be almost 2 miles. There was nowhere to get a drink on the way and we were both pretty "overheated" when we did get there. Had we known we would have gotten a bottle of water beforehand. I just stated how far it was so noone was surprised or unprepared for the walk.
