A little while ago I got another email from them saying they "will thoroughly review the listing" but could not inform me of any actions taken. They invited me to report any other violations, so I went back to the list of auctions from centsles and guess what?
Centsles has over 1000 active auctions going and NOT ONE casino silver strike among them!!! All of their dozens of listings have been delisted.
While it's obviously too soon to know if this is a permanent fix to the problem or a temporary situation, at least for now no one is buying misrepresented silver strikes. So for as long as it lasts I'd like to publicly thank eBay for what appears to be a well handled situation. Beyond my expectations, I must admit, but still worthy of praise.
Looks like the right principle backed up by the right words sometimes does get results. I hope Centsles cleans up their act and doesn't slip back into deception. We'll see.
