"Scarce!! Sharp strike and contrasts. Nearly 1 ounce of .999 silver center with 24kt gold plating over brass on the outer ring. We were told that these were given to big winners at these Casinos and collectors could purchase them probably a lot more than the $10 face value. We have seen similar limited edition bimetallic items for $25 to $50 each."
and:
"Shipping rates above include insurance!"
I bought one, because I got it at a price no higher than unslabbed, mostly to see how they operate. My strike arrived Nov. 30 in a small, padded envelope with $1.48 postage and no insurance, despite my having paid $4 for insured shipping. I sent them an email stating this fact on Nov. 30 and asking that they refund me the $1.65 insurance that I didn't get. So far no response at all.
The slabbed strike I received is exactly the same strike as several I already had, with no gold plating. It is a standard $10 strike with .6 oz of silver.
Does anyone know who these people are? I'm getting ready to report them to PayPal and eBay for misleading sales materials and failure to insure and failure to return my insurance payment. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
From my perspective so far, BEWARE "centsles" on eBay.
