I called the Flamingo and confirmed this. The person I talked to in marketing said that they just received the notice but no explanation. I changed my flight from NYC to come early for the convention and it's too late to change it back. I will not stay at the Flamingo for those three days and will have to think twice about even going into the casino. I'm new to silver strike collecting and this was going to be my first tournament and convention. I'm still looking forward to the convention but this certainly dampens my enthusiasm. The Flamingo handled this very poorly and something other than casino rate should be offered to those of us who are dissappointed and inconvenienced. Perhaps give us the strikes?
