There is a distinction between what something is "worth" and what something can be salvaged for. Obviously, if you walk into a silver refiner and try to sell one silver strike they wouldn't pay you much of anything at all as it isn't worth the cost to refine such a small amount anyway. So by that measure strikes are almost worthless. I don't think that is the question Orly was asking, but I get your point and don't disagree.
