Actually, requiring a post on the board makes more than perfect sense. It's the only way to eliminate any doubt as to who made the first acceptance of an offer. Emails can be delayed in the system, lost to spam blockers, etc. Also, a seller could play favorites and ignore an earlier offer to give it to someone else since only they know which email came first. Finally, accepting in a public forum reduces the possibility of backing out of a deal since you made it in public where everyone will know you didn't follow through. I think it makes perfect sense to do it this way.

By the way, is onemadlush going to criticize John for his attempt to buy the 777 like he criticized me? Or do we get an apology? Just curious.
