Rog,
We are only familiar with the Biloxi casinoes.
All have been extensively renovated since Hurricane Katrina. [Many parts of the city around them have not been restored.]
We've played at the Beau Rivage (an MGM Grand property). It appears to have the largest casino floor and certainly is tastefully done. Emphasis is on slot games - all new machines. They have reasonably priced, well-done shows. They are good with food comps.
We've played and stayed at the Grand casino (a Harrah's property). Standard rooms were very clean and well-appointed. The casino is small by LV standards but friendly and clean.
We played at both the PALACE and the Imperial Palace. Both are clean and friendly. We looked at the Isle of Capri, also newly restored - but ran out of time to evaluate.
Overall, it's not as exciting as LV but it's relatively uncrowded, clean and comfortable
