Latest news from Tahoe
It is 3;45 P.M and I just got home from Tahoe. Went up to play for the new strikes and this is the word from both the people in charge of the strike program at Harrah's and Harveys.
First there were 5 $200 strikes delivered to each casino, one was put in the display and 4 were taken in the first couple of days, both casino's removed the display $200 and let it go also to a collector, THERE WILL BE NO MORE $200 STRIKES DELIVERED PERIOD. The rest of the news isn't that good either, both casino's will be taking the machines out as soon as the $40 strikes are gone and at the same time any remaining $10 strikes will be returned for destuction. Both casino's are very upset with somebody but wouldn't or couldn't say who they were upset at to cancel the strike program once again.
I did have a great time and saw a couple of other strike collectors while there, both machines were tight and the cost per strike was much higher than I expected and the only thing that helped keep the cost down was hitting white, blue and mixed 7"s several times.
Wish the news was better and maybe somebody might beable to change the casino's minds but it didn't sound like it. One of the other collectors that was there had gotton the same information.
