My friend who is in Vegas as I write this, mentioned that the Calfornia Hotel has removed both Silver Strike machines from the floor and that when he spoke to a worker on the floor, the machines are not coming back. This would be a huge loss if the Cal removed its machine on a permanent basis.

Also, Fremont removed the $1 SS machine due to renovations of the hotel.

Perhaps someone with connections at the Cal can confirm if the machines are gone for good.
