This same post (by Archie) appears over on the CC & GTCC's BBS, and I responded to it there. Here is that same reply......
"Archie, let me add this....
The statement posted above (and over on the Strike Point) were germane to Lisa's membership status and did not address her right or privilege, or lack there of, to a table at the Convention.
However, I do have this additional "table" related information to pass on....
Again, please keep in mind that the Board was/is in un-chartered territory, however it is recognized that providing that the following two conditions are satisfied, Lisa has full right and privilege to have a table at the Convention, and would be welcomed to it.
First and foremost, she needs to be a Member of the Club. This requires action on her part because she is not now a member.
Secondly, not withstanding the fact that Lisa may have paid for the table, there is legal relevance as to who's name is on the Dealer Contract. If Lisa signed the Contract, then she has a claim on the table, which may then be exercised, but again, only if she is a Club member.
At the present time Lisa is not a Club member thereby making the second condition irrelevent (or moot). Moreover, there is no indication that she is seeking membership, and quite to the contrary, there is a statement that she does not want to be a member.
Quite obviously, this is a very difficult situation for everyone, and I do mean everyone! Lisa, Mel, the Board and every member of the Club.
