If you're looking to escape ads with Google, don't hold your breath. I have 2 gmail accounts with Google, and they have software that reads your email and puts up ads having to do with keywords in the email. Now don't get me wrong, the service is superb and the ads are fairly non-obtrusive (unlike the big blinking mortgage ads on some sites), but ads are Google's bread and butter.
