Bonsour to everybody,
I and my exhibit silver strikes managed to make it back. To good ol' Louisiana safe and sound and in 1 piece. At 12:06 AM this morning 8-23. I took my time getting home and fortunally there was NO real bad problems along the way. To Las Vegas and the convention or on the way back home. That is -- once I got my uncle's truck.
I want to VERY MUCH THANK my exhibit partner - Dave Williams - for all his help and support in our exhibit/display endever, at this years CC>CC convention. In which we took 2nd place over all the exhibits that was entered this year. Without his part and help this would not have been possible. A thank you also is in order to Dave's wife and secectary. For their help in getting Dave's part of our exhibit ready.
I would ALSO VERY MUCH WISH TO THANK. Everybody for the encouragement, kind words, praises, and other good things that was said to me and others about the exhibit. Both from the many Silver Strike Club members and the Non-SS Club member people. Who viewed Dave and my exhibit. This ment a lot to us.
A VERY BIG THANK YOU goes out to the CC>CC. For the opportunity for allowing Dave & me to place our exhibit in this years convention. As well as to Casey & his father(exhibit co-chairmen), the convention workers, the CC>CC board, and anybody else associated with our exhibit in some way.
SPECIAL THANK YOU to the CC>CC MEMBER.(unfortunity I didnot get his name) Who offered & stayed around(I was about the last to leave the convention room-it took a lot of time to repack the SS strikes)to help me load my exhibit display cabinet into my truck. Without him I would have had a real problem with the loading of the display cabinet into my truck.
In every endever--there has to be 1 poor soul who cannot be satisfied. And in this exhibit there was -1-. Even though I totally disagree with him. To this poor soul I do thank him for his opinion. And hopefully I will see a exhibit in next years CC>CC convention from him. Displaying strikes or coins --in his opinion-- like he wants and thinks they should or should not be displayed..
SOOOOOOOOO --a BIG THANK -- FROM DAVE AND DAN
Hopefully in the next newsletter I can have some additional information on our convention exhibit this year.
