To Norm and his Stooges
This is just my second convention even though I have been collecting for 7 years now. I have no problem at all with the Vegas dealers selling strikes as they come out during the year. I have a huge problem with Norm Clem anyone who is playing Stooge during this convention. The convention is for the collectors. Many of us only get out to Vegas once or twice a year. We plan far ahead and this is a huge deal for us. This year it looks like only the Four Queens will have strikes to play for. Shame , shame , shame on Clem and the Stooges. To fill Norms orders for the next $200 he will need to keep the machines tied up for 16 to 20 hours. Most of us are only there Tuesday through Friday. For every hour Norm has the machines tied up that's time that the rest of us cannot play. He was smart enough to enlist Stooges so its not so easy to tell just who is tying up the machines. While the Stooges are getting points on their precious players club card the rest of us will find a wasted taxi trip from The Riviera to stand around for an hour only to realize we are not going to be getting on the machine. There are only 2 machines and 3 days for us to play. For crying out loud Clem, you live in Vegas, you have the whole weekend you could play to get your strikes and yet you choose to have others play during convention time and deny so many of us the chance to play at all. Please explain how you justify playing during convention time and denying those of us who actually collect strikes a chance to play when it would be so easy for you to play during non convention times. Is your business so important that you screw the rest of us over during this special time of the year ? Shame on you Norm and shame on the Stooges.
