Last year before Convention 2001 Christie emailed a couple of members and put together a table for the opening Banquet for the Convention. She had to upfront the money and we all paid her when we got there. It was great, we had a fun dinner and after the meeting we were all right there ready to start trading...a terrific success.
This year Christie, by herself, has put together 7 tables for Silver Strikers, at a cost of $1,750. She then had to collect $$ from everyone. That is 70 collectors and friends who will all be in place for the trading session after the Banquet plus a chance to meet each other while we enjoy the dinner. This was not a Chapter sponsored event, but something that Christie did because it was so successful last year. So Happy Mother's Day to the Table MOM...she did a great job, Thanks Christie.
And, if you do not know her, check your CC & GTCC magazine from January, February and March 2002, Volume 15...page 40...upper lefthand corner in the first picture. She is the "unknown lady" sitting in the Old Jeans Sweatshirt, just like a MOM.
