Also donot forget about the Las Vegas bus system. Not really a bad way to get around. And if you get the $5.00 - 24 hour pass. You can ride anywhere the Las Vegas buses go. And as many times as a person want too. Also you can get on and off as many times and at any bus stop. Within that 24 hour time span at NO extra cost. NO bus transfers needed eather.
All these is ALOT cheaper then a taxi. Who now charges a flat starting rate($2.30 I think)+++++ so much for EACH----1/11 th of a mile. Also there is a -sir charge- to the normal fare. For picking a person up at the airport. And taxies can --so I have heard/read--, now charge waiting time. Even if you are stuck in traffic and not moving. So I understand the meter can tell if the taxi is not moving at least a certain speed or is stopped.
Please someone correct me on the Las Vegas taxies if I am wrong. Or add more information.
