Re: Hard to bid against
In Response To: Hard to bid against ()

That is called shill bidding. It is immoral and illegal on a state and federal level. It is considered FRAUD in most states. If you feel as though you have been the victim of shill bidding on ebay you can file a police report and speak to the fraud detective who gets your case. They can access EBAY's user files and and once it is confirmed to be a shill they can write a felony warrant for FRAUD which is an extraditeable offense. You may have difficulty with the police at first but more and more law enforcement is paying attention just to EBAY fraud. The statute of limitations is usually 10 years so when they finally wake up and start making these cases they will go back 10 years and throw a big book at these liars and cheats. In most states the Attourney General is also getting involved. EBAY is also facing several federal cases where they have failed to take action against shill bidders. Be sure to file the compliant with EBAY also. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. It is a shame to see this kind on con artist on ebay. It is an even bigger shame to let it go unreported. FRAUD is nothing less than fiancial rape. Do your part to end this disgusting behavior. One last thing, if you file your complaint with EBAY and it goes unpunished you can take part in the massive class action lawsuit that is coming due to their lack of enforcement on this issue. Belive me, I am making a complaint on every auction that I see shilling happenning.
