3) The fact that I was called (the day after I posted) to Jury Duty for the week before the convention, etc. etc.
I am taking the best of all of your advice and supplementing Dan's Significant Display of $200s with:
A) All NV $40s
B) All NV $20s
Beyond that, I may go further (OK, I'll do the $28s and the $100s - to let the cat out of the bag), but don't want to commit to too much else and disappoint. If time permits, I may be able to have some other interesting (but not 100% complete) add-ons for all the other denominations.
As for those who have submitted offers to sell me strikes to fill my holes, I am responding to you one-by-one (slowly, as I had been traveling). Please continue (everyone) to offer strikes for sale which fit the holes I summarized last week. In addition, assume that I might need "all" of the "Related Nevada Tokens" in the back of the Cohenour Book. I don't, but I do need many, so it can't hurt to offer.
As for what I am willing to pay, I would say this:
1) Normally I will pay "up to" 25% below the high end of the range in the cohenour guide for a perfect strike. Obviously I prefer to pay less and on average have paid about 10% above the low end -- mostly due to glueing my face to eBay as well as Bulk purchases.
2) All else being equal, I will choose the lowest offer (of course) -- so if anyone wants to sell a lot -- easily -- with no commissions, fees, etc. -- this is the way to do it.
3) Lastly, as I can't realistically reach my goal of a 100% display in time, the pressure is off a bit. That said, I will do my best to get close (with all of your help) -- as there is always next year -- and I have been toying around with some other display ideas -- such as a traveling display at casinos that retain Strike Machines (one of many ideas which may or may not be feasible).

PS -- I have hundreds of duplicates myself (not just common ones either -- some in the Major Error Category) -- so submit your want lists to me as well -- and I will see if I can fill in your collections' holes as well.
