Re: IGT Getting Out-Maybe idea--BUT
Dave this could be a good idea.
HOWEVER I see several questions that need answering here????
1- Who would repair the silver strike machines. And supply repair parts. One of the biggest reasons I had heard for. Getting rid or taking out of the old type silver strike machines. Is repair problems and could not get parts.
2- Would the Nevada Gaming Commission or any other gaming commission that has silver strike machines allow a single person to take over the program???
3- As the different casino's are a VERY INDEPENDENT BUNCH. How would they take it or accept it??
4- As I understand it, from several slot managers. It is up to each of the casino's to submit and get approval(from a gaming commission)of a silver strike design themselves. IGT DOES NOT do this. Once the design is approved. IGT only acts as the middle man with the mint. Since they have the patent for silver strikes. And that's how they make money off the silver strike program. How would this person fit in??? Same as IGT or maybe not be allowed to.
5- How would this person recover something. For his or her time and work that would be involved. Which I think would be considerable. Like IGT or some other way???
I am sure that there are many other things that would have to be cleared up, or answered. Before your idea would work.
While I think this would possibally be a good idea. MUCH much I think would have to be done to bring it to accutallity. If it is possible at all. But, then with the right person. It could possibally work.
