Peter, what you are saying is so true. We tend to immortalize our villains through the media in this country. We've heard over and over again from serial killers to kids from Columbine High School about how they want to see their names and faces immortalized in the media. Is anyone paying attention to that aspect of the criminal's psyche?
Why don't we put each of the 4 Pilots from the flights that went down on a Strike and say "In memory of flight _ _ _ and its 8 crew members and _ _ passengers who sacrificed their lives in the struggle to keep America free". I think that would be a more fitting Airport Strike.
If their motivation was really to put the pictures of these "most wanted men" out there, why wouldn't their Wanted Posters be plastered all over all of the airports in the nation? That way everyone that commutes couldn't help but recognize them on sight, not just on a few thousand people who collect silver strikes.
The probable answer to this question is they don't want to spook the American Public away from flying and/or put up pictures that look similar to other Middle Eastern Americans who might look like the criminals. It's tough to be an American, we have to defend ourselves "carefully" so that no one elses civil liberties are impinged upon. I admire our ethics but sometimes feel as if it is somewhat schizophrenic. Do you know what I mean ... Vern?
