Dan - Not to defend the post office but one of the main reasons for this increase is the cost of fuel ( thats thanks to the oil company ) their need for new vechiles and of coarse the increasing wages. It seems they hit those of us who mail small packages the most, I was told this was to reflect the true cost of handling the bubble packages etc. that can't go through the machines and have to be handled by hand.
