.... especially for new collectors or new readers of this message board.

If you are interested in lots of happenings of what went on before you got here... all one has to do is to click on "ARCHIVES" at the top of this page and check the appropriate boxes. You will be amazed to discover what some folks have posted on this bb over the past year or so.

One thing I like to compare, is the annonymous posts ... or posts made by ficticious persons ... and compare the Internet Service Provider addresses (ISP ... such as AOL, comcast, etc.) These ISP addresses that are listed right after the poster's name is similar to a "fingerprint" left behind as to who posted that message. One can compare an ISP address of someone who posted today ... with the same ISP address that was posted a year ago ... and come to a fairly conclusive idea of who the poster was. No, this method is not 100% infallible ... but if the same ISP keeps popping up for certain individuals on multiple occassions it sure does look suspect.

Now sometimes someone may post anonymously from two or three different computers. All will have their own separate ISP address. Sooner or later, the person who is trying to conceal their identity will slip and make another post from that same computer at a much later date ... but the "fingerprint" didn't change. Sometimes that is called a "GotCha"!
