WES & everybody,
That's pretty much what I have been saying all along. While strike cost has alot to do with the silver strike program. I STILL BELIEVE the MAIN underlining problem is WITH IGT. And how they are running the silver strike program.
Just look HOW MUCH the different casino's SPEND. Just to get people to COME TO OR GO to THEIR casino.$$$$MILLIONS$$$$ even $$$$BILLIONS$$$$ The casino's would buy the silver strikes at a LOSS. If they thought it would help or was helping to get people to come to or go to their casino.
The Isle Of Capri Casino about 4 miles from my house. Is GIVING AWAY between $25,000 and $50,000 a MONTH in cash. Trying to get people into their casino. The La Berge DU Lac Casino about 12 miles from my house. Is giving a way from 1 to 4 cars or trucks(and NOT cheapo cars or trucks eather) at a time several times a year. Plus cash in between trying to inspire people to go to their casino.
SOOOOO, do you think a few hundred or even few thousand extra $$$$ silver strike cost. Is really a BIG DEAL to them.
I have talked and given information to the Isle & LA Berge casino's about getting silver strike machines here. And I get pretty much the same run a round. They are interested and "I will talk to IGT" and no action so far. And it's been about 16 months so far since I first talked to them. I have followed up with talks with the slot managers. I cannot say for certain IGT is the problem here. But it kinda looks like they are at least a large part of the problem. I at the present time have given up--not forever-- trying for strike machines here near my house. I will try again if the time looks right.
