The cost of making a strike is not very hard to figure out. Raw materials +fabrication +destination/delivery charges.. Add those all up in bulk they "may" be coming in at or maybe a few cents below $10. I really doubt it at $3 plus copper and $14+silver, but I'll give that the benefit of the doubt. Compare that to one third of that for the cost 10-12 years ago when the program was devised and it "to me at least" is a no brainer where the program is headed.
