Most folks don't know the difference between .900 fine and .999 fine. Look how many silver strike collectors didn't even know that there was only .6 ounces of silver in a $10 silver strike. How many sellers on ebay (that need to be corrected) who weigh the entire strike and advertise it as being one ounce of silver. IGT could simply market them as "Silver Strikes". As long as they were still redeemable for $10, I don't think that most people care. Did anyone care what the price of silver was a few years ago?? It's only relatively recently that the price has been rising that folks are now paying attention to the silver content.
Do $1 and $5 slot token collectors care what the non-silver composition of the metal is?
