1---I wonder if anyone out there has any additional information about the "rare" $200 Bally's 4-line strike. Following my message to this board a few days ago, I received the following email:
THE FOUR LINE $200 BALLY'S STRIKE IS RARE, BUT IT IS IN NO WAY WORTH THE $4800 THAT IT WENT FOR! ITS NOT WORTH 1/2 THAT! I HAVE 4 OF THEM IN MY COLLECTION, I PAID LESS THAN $1000 FOR EACH ONE. THAT IS WHAT MAKES A AUCTION GREAT PEOPLE BID WITH THERE HEART, NOT THERE BRAINS!
2---I emailed the following directly to the sender of the above email:
Thanks for the email about the $200 Bally's. I was also astonished at the price that the 4-liner on ebay went for. Until that one, I had only heard of one or two others in existence--I wrote down who had it or them, but now can't find where it is written.
Mine is number 21, the one just won on ebay was number 60 (at least in the 60's) if I remember right. What numbers are yours? I'm curious how high the numbers go. Would you mind if on the Silver Strike Message Board I listed your numbers, mine and the number of the one just won on ebay (I'll have to find out what exactly that number was)? If you say ok, then I'll also ask if anyone else has one or some and what numbers they have so that we can get some sort of idea about how many of this 4-line were ever made.
3---The sender didn't say yes or no about listing his numbers, so I am simply copying his emails and deleting his name. He responded with the following and I wonder if any other readers can shed more light on the Bally's $200 4-line strike:
my strikes are all locked up in a vault ay work!! i have not look at them in over a year, i think all 3 are in the 30's ? their in order that i no 33,34,35 something like that? i was robed about 3 years ago so i kept very few strikes at my home
4---If anyone has more information or thoughts, it would be interesting to read them.
5---Thanks, Roger Bryant
