With regard to the Bally's $200 silver strike, when comparing the two different kinds there are major differences on both sides. Those differences don't even include the fact that one has a mint mark and the other does not.

Although having no technical expertise, I suspect that it would be well-nigh impossible to have taken the more common one and forged/sculpted/whatever it into the more valuable one.

A suggestion is to compare the scans for the "three line" Bally's $200 that is just ending on ebay with the "four line" Bally's $200 that recently went for $4,800. One could also look at the comparison of scans, side-by-side, in the last edition of Marv's catalog.

At this time, based on apparent scarcity, the "four line" Bally's $200 does seem to be considerably rarer than the "three line".
