found it last night. I played $20 and got two strikes. A new and an old. I was using the machine by the Registration Desk (Special Events Check-In).

The first one out was the gator bowing with hat in-hand, with the old "The Orleans" logo on the other side. The second strike was the gator at the slot machine and the "10th Anniversary" logo on the other side.

I too asked to trade and was told no. So I've left my old strike with someone who might have some juice there to get it changed.

Anyway, it would seem that both machines are filled with a mix of strikes.
