On my very first attempt at winning a Silver Strike, I was at Spirit Lake Casino in North Dakota, and knew absolutely nothing about them. I thought they looked neat and saw one witha buffalo on it that I really wanted. Anyhow, I plug a quarter in(yes one, was too cheap to play three at the time), and my buddy is laughing saying not in a million years will I win when it takes at least three to cover every line and then I will likely need to spend $25 or more. Well, spin and Plunk out one falls. So I plug another quarter in and same thing. Something was wrong with the machine and I put through 10 quarters with the same line lining up over and over. At 10 they had to refill the machine, and then it jammed so they shut it down. Being the idiot I was, I thought heck, I can get tons of these everytime I come here, this is easy money! So, I cashed them all in, since we would be back in a week. Get back a week later, and NO machine. They discontinued it, as it was apparently "broke" (Do ya think???) So there I sat with no strike, but I did make $100 off of a $2.50 investment. AND, after writing the casino to complain the machine was gone and I needed one for my collection, they kindly sent me 2 for free. Best deal I ever got trying to get strikes!!!
