I have to say, I am very dissapointed in a few sellers when it comes to the Shipping charges that are charged for Shipping & Handling on these auction sites, especially if they are club members selling to another club member. I just purchased a 1/4 lb. Las Vegas Club Tournament Strike from a fellow club member on Ebay who had the S&H charges of $10.00 and Ins. charges of $1.35 totaling $11.35. Upon delivery of the Item there wasn't any Ins. on the Package/Item (of which I did pay for) and the shipping charges for delivery were only $3.03, not the $10.00 as stated. The Item did come in a bubble envelope (Instead of a FREE Post Office Box) which was bounced all over the post office, and the cardboard sleeve was damaged and creased and the Velvet Case was bent of which I had to straighten it. I have emailed this fellow club member to ask why he did this and he never even responded to my email!
How can one seller charge $1.00 for shipping on a $10 Strike and another seller charges up to $4.95 for a $10 Strike!! If you were to take the $4.95 S&H and add $1.35 Ins. you are already up to $6.30 or 63% of the face value of a $10 Strike. I understand we all make choices to purchase or not to purchase the Item and some sellers do this to help some club members who might not be able to get to Las Vegas, Laughlin or Reno/Tahoe Nevada, to get these strikes, but it is pretty bad when it is done to you by a fellow club member especially when they know that you are a club member who is bidding on their Item. Put a reserve on the strike that you are selling if you want more money for the Item, but don't inflate the S&H charges to make a higher profit for yourself and not have to pay the higher Ebay selling fees. There are only a few sellers who do this, AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!
