I agree. As soon as I bid and up pops the "reserve not met" BS, I am out of there. If you have a reserve, then just start the auction at that price and you either sell it or you don't. Don't play mind games with people to get them to bid when you aren't even willing to sell it. But like Dennis said, all of us are free to bid or not bid, and he's free to sell how he wishes. I think the theory with reserve auctions is you hook people into bidding for your item with the hopes that they will get caught up in the auction and think "okay, I must be close to the reserve so I'll just put one more bid..." and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
