Just my personal opinion John.
If they would agree to 10%-20% under face, that's fair for both of you. Face value is still fair for you and the person selling them is getting top dollar.
Remember that you have to invest your money in these and work to turn them back into cash. Some you may be losing money as the fees and cost of advertising them.
On the other hand, if you find a few that are extra special, just think of the fun and how nice they will look in your collection.
Since you mentioned the $7 strikes. Don't forget you could (sorry to say it's come to this) sell them for melt value and make a quick turnaround.
If you don't collect $7 strikes, I'd put them up for 10% under melt value and hope some collector wants them. If not, that's the way it goes.
Nice Find! You should have hours and hours of fun, looking at each one for tiny variations. Keep in mind that until someone has two or more strikes together, or has scans of many of the same strike, they might not notice something that makes them different.
