Thanks Jim. That makes it somewhat clear. I would then say that the average is about .70 of an ounce. Silver is approaching 14.00 an ounce so that would make a 7.00 strike worth about 9.80 in silver. To be safe probably .65 of an ounce might be the correct way to go and that is what most have been using. So to break even by selling them on Ebay they would have to sell in the 12.00 range with todays Silver Price. Otherwise it would be cheaper to melt them which may start happening if silver continues to rise. That kind of makes one wonder how many of each will be left. I would think many of the owners of strikes who are taking them to the local coin dealer and getting maybe 8-9.00 will be selling them and the dealers will be sending them in to be melted.
