The following notice has been sent to John Yee, Editor of the club's magazine for publication in the next issue. Thought it would be of interest to those on this bulletin board. I've also provided a copy to MaryLou Waterbury for publication in the Strikers Newsletter.

SSOTY IN 2002

"By an overwhelming 3-1 majority, the COTY/TOTY 2000 judging committee has recommended that the rules for the 2002 COTY/TOTY contest be changed to create a 3rd separate exclusive category for "Silver Strike Of The Year" competition that would be separate from the Token Of The Year category.

107 members of the Judges Committee recommended that Silver Strikes not be considered for Token Of The Year (TOTY) honors next year …. but should have their own classification of Silver Strike Of The Year (SSOTY). Only slot machine tokens would be eligible for Token Of The Year 2001 which will be announced at the club's 2002 convention and thereafter".
