Hello All.. Just Back from a few days in vegas. It was a pretty boring trip for strikes. I have a new trade list available, just email me at shawnkovack@hotmail.com and I will send a notepad text file of the hundred or so strikes I have to trade including some of the new palms playboy strikes. I need to trade for the hugh hefner playboy palms $10... I need alot of older vegas commons if you find anything on my list you might need...
On to the trip report. We flew jetblue for the first time from pittsbugh. The Jetblue experience was excellent, however I do not like backtracking as they don't fly direct from pittsburgh. Flying to new york and then being back over pittsburgh almost 4 hours later was a real drag on time. I will stick to more direct flights in the future. Arrived at the golden nugget las Saturday evening to find that the pool is "almost" complete. The nugget has lost its appeal to me and we have been favoring the Main Street Station since they sold out to landrys. Ok, onto the strike report.. We went to Mandalay Bay to scan for the new machines, found none. New york new york appeared to have only eliminated the rita rudner strikes and are still holding back any new releases. Nothing new at any of the strip casinos. Same old strikes in all the machines. We went to the monte carlo and the machine by the front entrance was gone, and the machine in the back was taped off and empty. Looks like maybe another casino gone from the strike bussiness. we went to the palms to play for the new playboys, got about 15 of them there, they had no $200 left but said they were expecting some more to come in. We stopped by slots a fun and The wife had me the new redcap on her first $20. I didn't persue any furthur because the machine was about empty and no more reds showing. Downtown was very boring for strikes. Golden Nugget has moved the machines, but they still have them with the same old strikes as always. California seems to be just all Commemorative Zodiac strikes with no signs of the new approvals or the three hotel strikes. I did play for the $200 safari strike at the el cortez. This was a brutal one to win, the three line machine is TIGHT... Finally got the 20 needed to get the Prize. I don't want to think about the $450 -$500 it cost... LOL... Four Queens has both machines with solid 4 vices, no reds. Las vegas club, just the baseball ones, no reds. Plaza, just looked like the tahoe, grand canyon ones, didn't play there. All in all a very boring trip strikewise. We did good on Video poker though and managed to come home about even, so that makes the whole trip wonderful!!
