How many of you would be willing to cough up the funds to be a Life Member in the Silver Strikers Club? I am and hope every one is in agreement with me.

I think it is a great time for the Board of Directors to allow those of us who would like a Life Membership the opportunity to purchase one. The Money raised would be put into an endowment fund and start generating funds for our Clubs future. Our Clubs treasury is on solid ground now and we should think about doing something like this. The Club would continue to receive revenue from the endowment funds long after the members have gone on to meet our Great Creator. Several nationwide organizations do this very thing and operate solely on the funds generated from their endowment fund and never spend the capitol they have invested in the fund. As the Club grows our endowment will grow. The positives of an endowment are well known and this is a positive way for us to secure our future. Just think of the members that have in the past joined our rank and file and for some reason or another left this great hobby. If they would have been able to purchased a life membership in the club, the club would still be receiving funds from their investment to this very day and would be from now on. Every life member would save the club money that is currently being spent to retain that member. For example the membership officer would no longer be required to mail out a dues notice to the member or mail out a new membership card when the member sends in his dues every year. Lets get this done and secure our future for generations to come.

Life Members: are members in good standing who apply for permanent membership status, and whose applications are accompanied by a payment of an amount equal to 15 years' dues.

Life Members are relieved from paying further annual dues.
