SS Club code of ethics #3. To base all of my dealings on the highest plane of justice, fairness and morality.
Offering the same strike to someone who is bidding on another's auction is at the least, questionable morality. Offering a strike for sale at a set price, and when accepted then trying to extort the purchaser for more money because an auction is going higher, is definitely not the highest plane of morality. Same person did both.
SS Club code of ethics #11. To refrain from making any unjustified, false, or slanderous comments about other members.
Falsely accusing someone of bidding up another's auctions (I do not know anyone I buy strikes from other than from seeing their auctions or seeing their posts on strikepoint) just because I turned down their LATE offer is definitely unjustified, false and slanderous. I would guess I end up winning 50% or more of the auctions I bid on, and I start bidding on them right away. Of course I'm going to bid on a few sellers auctions the most, because they are selling the most strikes.
If the people want to identify themselves on this board, that is up to them. They will read this, I guarantee it. If I am misunderstanding the code of ethics, please advise so I will be clear. If you want to accuse me of bidding up auctions, report it to eBay right away. I have all the emails saved, and I am more than happy to defend myself if needed. eBay owns PayPal, they have all the records of the payments I have made to all the strike sellers I have purchased from. I have copies of all money orders I have used.
Thanks to those who have responded and emailed, you are right, majority are GREAT. I have had way more positive than negative experiences. I will not let this ruin my experience, and I will bid on whatever strikes I darn well feel like, whenever I want to bid, and whatever auctions I want to bid on. Last I checked this was still a free country.
Dave.
