I got a Stardust strike out of the machine a while back before they were removed. Of course most all of them were the Hot Slots but after my 3rd HS I got an older strike. This strike features a picture of the Stardust Hotel with a big Stardust sign on the roof and the Cosmic Logo above. My question is, the strike has a hole drilled in the top of the brass ring. I know it was recycled back into the machine because of it's age but is there a common practice of cancelling SS like chips, or did some dummy drill this out to try and cheat machines like the old days (even though it is too big for the change slot). It was drilled w/ a small bit above the "n" in ten and the "d" in Dollar. Any ideas??? Would that make it worthless (other than the silver content)??
