The old style machines was the one's that started the colored cap use. With the introduction of the blue caps. The blue caps was mixed in with the clear caps. You could not see where they was in the strike machine hopper. You just had to play the strike machine. Till a blue cap fell out--like in a normal non silver strike slot machine--out of the botom and into the hopper. Like the newer style strike machine. The casino decided how many blue caps was loaded into the machine delivery hopper and placed in what order to drop out. No strike symble was used on the old style strike machines. Just "bars" on some machines. Or "7's" on other strike machines.

There was no red caps till the new style silver strike machines came out. To replace the older style machines. Which was bad about not delivering a strike. Because the delivery system would jam up. And the machine would have to be opened and cleared by hand, to deliver your strike win.
