Maybe Greg has made some recent changes to the password requirement but when you first posted your response yesterday i tried it and did like you said my message posted WITHOUT needing a password.
However just now i replied to another strikers question and when i hit the post message button, I got a message that my password was required to post this message.
I remember this happening before but never gave it any real though until all this spam started showing up.
