As I understand it SSOTY voting is not limited to members of the Silver Strikers Chapter. So it would seem that if it isn't addressed before hand you run the risk that some chip collector like myself who can't tell the difference between a silver strike and a coffee mug might actually cast a vote for the coffee mug.

(BTW I only vote on chips because I don't think it is is appropriate for me to vote on items that I don't collect but not everyone shares that belief)
