Walt, I certainly agree with you that collectors can collect anything they want and call them anything they want. This subject has certainly opened up a lively and welcome discussion. However, I still stand by my first statement; I was asked to define a strike. The dictionary defines it as n. 9 "the number of coins minted at one time" and v. 5 "to make as by stamping or printing". Please refer to Marv's statement and definition above (3/20/02); he says it much better than I do.
