Hubby and I went over both Thanksgiving and Christmas last year.
Christmas is pretty - Downtown and NYNY are always festively decorated, but starting Xmas day Vegas fills up fast and stays packed until New Years'.
We will be returning again this year for Thanksgiving. Casinos are quiet up until Thanksgiving day and the weather is nice (it can get downright COLD at Xmas). We have hotel reservations at Barbary Coast for $40 a night, but we will be on our way home when turkeyday hits, as the crowds start returning then.
Be aware that a few shows are dark over the pre-holiday lull, but we love the quiet and no lines anywhere we go. We have also noticed that the Vegas locals like to go to the holiday feasts the casinos lay out on holidays, so be prepared to wait for a table on Thanksgiving or Xmas day.
Feel free to E-mail me if you have any questions.
