As a coin collector it is better to never clean a coin. If you feel you must, go to a coin shop and get what is called a coin dip. It is usually used to remove tarnish from silver bars etc. It is made for silver. Some dealers use it for silver dollars that have a lot of ugly toning but it sure can screw up a coin. Never clean a copper coin or token. A coin dip for jewelry is usually made for all kinds of Jewelry from custom to gold. If you use the wrong kind of jewelry cleaner you can ruin the coin. So I would stay away from the Jewelry Cleaner. When using a coin dip or Cleaner only 3 things will happen. It will come out sparkling, it will look the same or you will ruin the coin. The token below shows some toning on the edges and it enhances the beauty of the token. You would never take away toning that has taken years to develope. Hope this helps. Ted
