Peter; I sincerely welcome your thoughts ... (which I concur) but I believe that it is the elected chapter officers who speaks for, or on behalf of, the Silver Strikers Chapter ... and from whose guidance I am seeking.

If the chapter officers wish to conduct a survey (or opinion poll) from the Silver Strikers Chapter Membership, I have no objection to that process. However, if CC & GTCC is going to sponsor the annual Silver Strike of The Year Awards ... then I think it behooves the Chapter to define the parameters of what exactly constitutes a "Silver Strike" and not individual members of the Chapter to make that decision.... nor the Chairperson of SSOTY to make that decision on behalf of silver strikers.

Perhaps this would be suitable fodder for discussion at the Chapter Meeting in Las Vegas this June to make a firm determination for next year's SSOTY nominations.

I'm still looking for that guidance from the Chapter Officers as I had posted not too long ago, as far as SSOTY 2001 nominations goes.
