Re: THE POINT IS........
In Response To: Re: THE POINT IS........ ()

Thanks for your reply. I do keep all my old capsules. Some might say I am a packrat in that way. The wax Idea is interesting. I have used Pledge in the past. Like on calculators and other small electronics where the displays get a little scratched up. Makes things a little shinier but doesn't do a heck of a lot for scratches and scuffs. I did use some MAAS, metal polish or Simichrome I believe is the same thing, on one capsule and that didn't work too good. Didn't do any harm but I didn't notice much improvement. I have read that Simichrome has sometimes been used on the displays on radios and scanners with some success. I believe these products have a little wax or polymer in them along with rouge (a very fine abrasive or polish). It is most often used on metal but can be used on some stones and plastics as well.

I suppose I could try a few things. I have some Klasse out in the garage for using on the car. Maybe the All In One (red bottle) would do some good. I remember reading on the literature that came with the kit that it can be used on glass, counter tops, appliances etc. Maybe I will give that a try. Perhaps I can salvage a hand full or so, so that if I ever sell a token, I can put it into an original type container and leave it to the buyers choice.

Like I said in my previous post here and the ones on the Chipboard, I am open to hearing all opinions that people might have on this topic.

To change capsules to AirTites or to keep the original capsules. Which is best?

Maybe Christmas till you see Green??? Maybe St. Pats Day.

Thanks again for your input.
